It didnt make any difference if you were rich or poor, had a record contract or not - file sharing was for everybody. Then the music industry got crazy. Poor millionaires such as James Hetfield, Madonna and Eminem screamed for vengeance, and did everything they could to stop the music lovers from listening to their music. At first they seemed to succeed, and Napster was shut down. But after this first setback, peer to peer file sharing increased rapidly and now they cant stop us! anybody know any good free peer-to-peer file sharing programs for music besides limewire and bearshare
ya like bearshare is legal so bite me
Google peer to peer programs, p2p or torrent or something like that.
Remember that downloading/uploading copyrighted files is illegal if you don’t own the copyright or have the copyright owners permission.
And please read the user guide how the program works so we don’t need to help you break the law.
Bearshare and LimeWire is NOT illegal in it’s self.
The illegal part is downloading/uploading copyrighted files.
µtorrent is good. As good as LimeWire.

There are many p2p programs and they all have different functions and different talents. I use two programs for p2p:
Limewire and eMule. I find these are the best ones.
Limewire does a fantastic job downloading single files quickly, and now with it’s torrent integration it’s a good program. The downside to Limewire is all of the junk and spam files, which I find VERY annoying, so I tend not to use it much.
eMule is amazing at downloading MANY files at once. The more files you are downloading, the better emule gets. Also, emule uses the ed2k network so there are many sites on the web with LEGIT file links posted, so there is NO spam or junk files if you use these legit sites.

It’s a great community and has a great collection of files. You can find a tutorial on how to setup emule on that site using the search function.
eMule also has a great built in search function which works fine, and the amount of spam / junk files on emule is minimal compared to limewire. The file download tend to be slightly slower though. The more you use emule, the faster your downloads get so when first starting don’t be discouraged by slow speeds.
