I use Limewire for quick music downloading. Still awaiting all those viruses everyone’s talked about after four and a half years.

That would be the one that most people are using. In P2P, the more clients that add up, means you will get your file faster most likely. Try Limewire, lots of people use it.

I would like to know of any p2p file sharing program thing that is FREE OF CHARGE and is spyware-free and all.

Limewire is EXCELLENT. No spyware, no viruses, no charge, wide selections. In fact, you can even get Limewire PRO for free by searching for Limewire Pro Installer on Limewire.

I tried LimeWire and Warez and they are extremely slow and keep freezing my computer! I want a file sharing program that can not only download songs, but docs and movies and programs. I want it to be safe and secure yet downloads finish quickly. Anyone have the names and brief descriptions or maybe a forum discussing it??

You are right LimeWire greatly slows down Pc’s. The best p2p atm is BitComet, it’s quiet fast and you can find almost anything with it.

timer for (p2p file sharing progrm)?

when i say "p2p file sharing program" i mean programs that you use with torrents to download the file, bit torrent clients.

I want to be able to put a timer on my bit torrent client so i can turn my computer on at 11pm and go to bed, so at 2am the client will start downloading the file automatically.

I use bit-comet and cannot set a timer with it as far as i am aware, are their any clients that can have timers set on them? if so which ones?

uTorrent is the p2p program that I use and is quite simple ( http://www.utorrent.com/download.php ), here is the way to schedule with it:
On the interface, click Options and then Preferences.
The "Scheduler Preferences" screen will show by clicking "Scheduler" on the left of the Preferences window.
Enable "Scheduler Table"
Here you can adjust the bandwidth uT is allowed to use depending on the time of day.
The settings are pretty much self-explanatory. Hover your mouse over a box to see what time frame it represents.
The default is full speed to all times all days, one click in any square (time of that day) will make the speeds limited to the value you specified in the Preferences of the Scheduler, and two clicks will stop any download or upload at that time.
After you set it just click Apply.
BitComet ( http://www.bitcomet.com/doc/download.htm ) has a scheduler and the instructions are the same as uTorrent.
Azureus ( http://azureus.sourceforge.net/download.php ) can be scheduled also, you’ll find how here:

Ive found many p2p file sharing programs but most of them are illegal and you know how mothers are… i rly need to find one that is 100% legal and free that lets me download songs, videos, pics, softwares, and documents…

try www.download.com
and look for P2P sharing programs there are plenty of them.
Though, legality is not guaranteed.

hi on msn i can send a file to a person i choose, i want to know if there are any programs for file transfering but use P2P by this i dont mean using torrrents just sending files to people who also have this program (p2p only)

Can’t think of any, but you can store files for free in iDrive and share that way. If it’s a huge file, you might have to break it up into smaller pieces.
